New logo … New home … New Brews … Same people … Same Service …
So what have the team at Franklins been upto?
We outgrew our converted Bexhill Milking Shed base of 5 years. All good things … but did the milk turn sour? No.
The infrastructure of our old home just couldn’t keep up up with the demand for Franks brews! Our battered rickety brew kit was bursting at the seems, held together with all and sundry! The old Bexhill barn had an abundance of character, that and and abundance of low beams (Steve can tell you about that …..) but for all its rustic charm it lacked the modern flexibility that we now need.

So we set about finding a new home. We sounded out many sites, it was important for us to stay true to our Sussex roots, we needed space, and we needed a connection. The hunt was long, but … in the end RINGMER found us.
At our new home we have a 10 brewers barrel (BBL) kit – meaning we have the capacity on our brew kit to brew 50 BBL a week.
Our carbonator allows us to now to keg and bottle on site – allowing us to create new brews across different formats.
We also have a bigger and more efficient cold store, greater capacity all round.
Alongside the moving home was the updating of Franks logo. We were lucky to work with celebrated local artist and graphic designer Jamie Eke. Jamie’s work is plastered across local Brighton and Hove buses, he’s worked with Levis amongst others and is known for his celebrated Marvel comic superhero typography. His creative expertise synergised perfectly with Steve’s bold, ambitious, new vision for the brewery.
The result is a traditionally modern take on art and beer.
Cheers to that!
