After a couple of false starts, we are absolutely over the moon to have our first can beer out in the stratosphere.

Along with the blood, sweat and tears (not literally) we have added lashings of tropical mango and lime to juice our hazy, oatmeal pale, Go Man Go and the result is an absolute delight. It is, light, breezy and refreshing whilst still packing a fruity punch. A real taste sensation.

The process was not without it hiccups, but suffice to say we are now a lot more knowledgeable about dissolved oxygen and psi levels and Steve’s use of the vernacular has been pushed to the limit. However, we got there and this great beer coupled with Jamie’s great artwork is now available from the brewery or any of the usual, amazing retailers who keep on pushing great craft beer across Sussex and the South East – Brew Dog Brighton, Bottle Grove Eastbourne and Quaff to name but a few.

We will be doing an official launch at Good Things Brewing Tap Bar at Café Plenty in Brighton on Saturday, so why not come along and help us celebrate this monumentous event in the history of Franklins Brewing Co. As well as Go Man Go on tap, our craft Pilsner, A Bitter Pils To Swallow will feature along with some of the best brews from our craft brewing colleagues across Sussex. With Bengali Street food and Funk and Soul djs added to the melting pot, what’s not to love. We also promise that a certain staff member will not be dressed in sparkly animal leggings (unless by special request, of course).

With Smile our 6.1% big bad IPA and A Bitter Pils to follow Go Man Go into the hallowed aluminium receptacle in time for (real) start of Spring, we feel this is a real turning point for Franklins and allows us to reach a whole new audience whilst still staying true to our cask roots.

Yours in beer,

The Team at Franks
